Most people know the reputation of the huehuetenango region of Guatemala but this coffee is sourced from a isolated corner of this region with very rugged terrain that has helped preserve indiginous heritages. The cooperative that we source this coffee from has 1400 members spread over 80 small farms.
This coffee is fantastic and has flavors of Brown sugar, lemon and milk chocolate. Lighter roasts are more acidic and citrus flavored while darker roasts bring out the chocolate flavoring. It also makes a great single origin espresso!
